Baggio: Osteria and Bar means Baggio: Restaurant and Bar. The name comes from a soccer player from Italy, named Roberto Baggio. From all soccer players, the place\u2019s owner likes Baggio from Italy then he raised Italy theme for the restaurant. Baggio was designed to be a place to gather with friends with 5 or more people in group. There is a big screen displayed in the restaurant for customers to watch soccer matches and sometimes other sports such as basketball. Since the Rugby World Cup is being held in Japan, Baggio will be making several events where people can watch together.<\/p>\n

This restaurant served Italian themed foods that are not only delicious but also looks luxurious. The vegetables, fishes, and meat used are fresh. I have never been in Italy, but I guess the foods can represent the good taste and luxury images of Italy.<\/p>\n

Girls would really like this place because the foods are not fat, taste good, and with the right portion. The owner said that this restaurant is famous for girls especially in lunch time course. The interior decoration and light are good for taking cute pictures. They have Josekai (women gathering) Course with very reasonable price. The course has already been complete with foods, desserts, and 2 drinks by only 3000JPY. Going to a common Izakaya for Josekai (women gathering) could be cheaper than 3000JPY but I think common Izakaya would not with full course like in the package from Baggio. I think it is really worth to try. This restaurant also offers other food course as well for a party.<\/p>\n

Not only for women, Baggio\u2019s bar is popular for men to drink. They have a drink bar also with an Italian theme. Beside some wine bottles and glasses, there is a big parma hamplaced on the bar desk. We can have some slices of raw ham freshly cut.<\/p>\n

I tried it and it was really good and I really think that it is very suitable for drinking. Beside the hams, other appetizers \uff08\u304a\u3064\u307e\u307f\uff09were served well and cutely with reasonable price. Sometimes I feel it is good to be living in a countryside like Tsu because I can enjoy cute and good foods with good price. The same ones would be more expensive if we go to a bigger town.<\/p>\n

Baggio is famous as a place to hang out. Located nearby Tsushinmachi Station, the customers of the restaurant are usually from working people more than students. However, I think the place is actually can be fit to students. From Mie University, it takes only around 25 minutes or 5 minutes by train from Edobashi station. I think Mie University students are very common for bars or Izakaya around the school. They could be easily bored and go to other towns while actually there is a cool place to hang out in Tsushinmachi like Baggio. Baggio is really recommended for students especially who like sports and watching sport matches like soccer.<\/p>\n

I think Baggio has a smart concept. It can fit to women and also men. It can fit to working people and students. And honestly in Japan that was the that was my first to be in a place that is intended to watch soccer together. In Indonesia, soccer matches are popular and soccer fans are everywhere. We can find a place to watch matches together (\u201cNonton bareng\u201d in Indonesian language) everywhere especially when there is a big match like world cup or other regional championships. Soccer fans will be gathering, eating and talking each other till late time. Sometimes they scream, clap the hands, and talk loudly. In my thought there is nothing like that in Japan since Japan has a quite\u00a0 culture. Visiting Baggio, I soon changed my mind and I think Baggio is one of right places to enjoy the euphoria of sport events with friends.<\/p>\n

Baggio has owner with well experiences with international themed business. They used to have yoga and haircut shops. Working in Baggio also could also be a good experience. The owner said that some people worked there were encouraged to open their own business including restaurants and bar. I agree with this. Look at the foods serving. It does need skill to make such cute serving.I want to ask my friends to go together to Baggio again.<\/p>\n
